This is one tough problem to fix and that's why many people have probably told you to send your troubleshooting console over to Microsoft and pay $150 or use your warranty, right? But is this really the best thing to do? Sure, they will repair your overheated Xbox 360, but it isn't for free and it's very time consuming also.
So... How Can I Fix The Xbox 360 Overheating problems?
First of all, you need to know where the problem comes from. Well, in this case it's high likely that it's inside of your console. But, it won't hurt to try a couple of outside techniques.
1) Put your console off, wait 5 minutes and put it back on.
2) Is there maybe a loose cable?
3) Unplug all cables but not the power cord, and plug them back in.
4) Take out the hard-drive, and put it back in. Repeat this 4 times.
